Volcano Day
Today was volcano day for the third graders. We have worked hard on ours. It was built of chicken wire, paper mache and plaster. We did an eruption with black gun powder and a fuse. It shot a bucket out of the top filled with candy...it flew up in the air about 50 ft! It was awesome! Here it is...erupting! The boys loved it!

The entire third grade class ran out on the field to get fireballs and fire jolly ranchers. Some of them complained that they tasted like smoke or got a little burnt. Oh well!
Here is Tyler's class with Mr. B. This, of course, is the goofy shot. There is a normal one too, but I didn't want to bore you with it.
This is Mr. B. One of the coolest teachers ever! He was the start of this volcano day. He is retiring this year unfortunately. We will sure miss him!Posted by Emily at 7:56 PM 2 comments

Our Anniversary!
Yesterday was our 13th anniversary. We decided to take the kids and go out to eat. You know me...we can't just go to any normal restaurant. We tried a new place- Mars Bistro. It was heaven! We had a grilled artichoke for an appetizer and the kids practically licked the plate it came on. Then the kids all got ribs and mashed potatoes. I had a snapper on a bed of corn, shrimp, bacon, and cilantro...yum! Nyle got a rib-eye and mashed potatoes. The kids said it was the best meal they have ever had! It was amazing!
Tanner with his sticky fingers and messy face!
Tyler, enjoying his potatoes!
Syd and dad. Yummy!
What a great anniversary dinner! Not all that romantic, but who needs that after 13 years and three kids?
