Blue River Reservoir

We went boating and camping this weekend with a lot of Nyle's family. It was a blast! We got a spot right on the water and in a cove that was all ours. The weather was great and we taught a couple of cousins how to wake board. What more could you ask for?

Mckenzie making sure she does not sink!
Playing on the platform and in the kayak. The platform ended up being a wrestling mat. I avoided it like the plague!
Our chair fell off the edge into the water. We almost lost Dan one night too!
The whole group by the campfire.
All the girls with their french-braids. They've gotten so big!

Branch Camp-out

We went to Jack Creek for the Branch camp-out this weekend. It was really fun! We went a day early and rode motorcycles before everyone got there. We got a little dirty, as you can see!

Carolyn and I...looking our best!
Some of the dirty gang!

Syd and some friends in the creek. The water was a little cold, but that didn't stop them.
Mandy-pants posing for the picture! She and Mackenzie are two of a kind...I just love to watch them together!
Getting ready for dinner with the branch. We had tons of great food...isn't that always the case with church functions?!

We went on a hike to the Head of Jack Creek. It was really cool. The water just comes right out of the ground to form this great creek and lake. It was crystal clear and tasted great. In one spot it came out right under a rock.
Doesn't this look like something you would see in a magazine?
Tyler and NyleSyd on one of the cool bridges
We can't wait for next year's camp-out!

Quilt Show 2008

I took way too many pictures, but I really get into this day. These are only half of them...I spared you some of them.

This one was one of my favorites. It looks like the ocean. I just want to dive in!
Our entreprenuers of the day...Nyle and Tanner were gone with the wagon full of water. The boys made about $200 by selling water that day.
Julia came to wander the town with me.

The following quilts are my very favorite. They are like art work! So much little detail. I love them!

This was the featured quilter's work. It looks like a photograph, but it really is a quilt.

Sydney and a really beautiful classic quilt.
Cool piecework!!!! I loved leaves in this part of the quilt.

I couldn't believe this one! Is this cool or what? Tons of time put into this one!
Looks like Sisters!

Cool colors!
Check out the detail in this!
Fun and funky!

Our tour guide leading the way.
Harry Potter quilts...cool!

I love the black and white with the bright colors!
Cowboy quilt! Even the pockets on the jeans were quilted.
