We're having a White Christmas!

Our hopes came true! We are having a white Christmas! We got our first snow on Friday and it continued to snow all weekend. Yeah! We are supposed to get more on Thursday too. Keep it coming!

It's sledding time!

Here are some catch-up pictures...
A bunch of us went out to dinner to say goodbye to Hannah who is moving away! We miss you Hannah!

The boys were a part of a pow-wow for the 4th grade. Everyone had to dress up and they had food that Indians would have, sang songs and played games. It was pretty entertaining.

Tanner...eating his food that was "gathered."

Tyler wouldn't pose for me, but here is a shot of him.

Syd was in a parade right after Thanksgiving. She is on the far left. I guess I'm caught up now. I will share more later.

Family Pictures

Nyle & I realized that we haven't had a professional family picture since Cassie took one...maybe 4/5 years ago? I know...that is beyond terrible! So, we rectified that with our friend Eric, who has a good camera, he just has to work on his subjects (the Head family)! Here are some you will not be getting in your Christmas card!

LOL Tanner!
Me and my girl!

Eewww!

Yikes!

Here is the one you will be getting in your Christmas card. It's hard to get a good one of this group! No wonder we waited so long!

Tagged!

Mom tagged me, but I didn't even know it! My computer got a virus and all my settings got messed up when I tried to fix it. I have been unable to get online in awhile! So, here is my 4th picture in my 4th folder...
Some of my favorite people ever...and I didn't even cheat! I told myself that I could if it was a terribly nasty on of me! Wasn't this day fun? I was just watching the video of this yesterday! Paige has grown so much! Love you guys!

No Pictures!

At the beginning of November I had a great idea to post something I'm thankful for every week. Yeah, right! I'm thankful I got through the month!
Ok. I have not posted in awhile and I feel like a slacker. I have been a little busy. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year for Nyle's family. Jeff & Michelle came this year and we were so happy to have them! It was so fun and so busy! We had 35 people for dinner, and about 27 of them stayed here at our house and shop! I feel like I spent most of my time in the kitchen...cooking, cooking and more cooking! But, we did have a lot of fun chatting with everyone.
Thanksgiving morning a lot of the girls got up and went to the "I LIKE PIE" 5 mile walk/run in Bend. It was a great start to the day. I'm so glad we got out and enjoyed the weather before we spent the rest of the day in the kitchen. I think that may be a tradition from now on! The boys all played football that morning too. Friday we did a little shopping and I found some great deals ($5 church pants for the boys!!). By Saturday everyone was headed for home. Sydney was in a parade in town with the Brownies and then I took my kids to see Bolt...it was really cute!
I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things and still get ready for the next holiday! Anyway, as you can see, I don't have any pictures! I was working! I think someone had a camera, but I'm not sure who!? Send me some pictures if you have any!

Number 7

Ok, as Nyle was reading these, we were laughing and I laughed a little close to his ear.
So...
7. His ears are ultra sensitive!!!!! I can't even talk to him (too close to his ears) without him giving me a nasty look and plugging his ears. I feel the love!!!

Nyle's quirks

Ok...here are Nyle's quirks

1. He won't eat leftovers unless there is absolutely nothing left in the house. The only thing he likes leftover is steak and he will eat it with eggs in the morning. YUCK!

2. He washes his truck and trailor...whatever he is driving before he goes on a big trip. It doesn't matter if it is going to get crustified with bugs anyway. He has to start with a clean vehicle.

3. He would prefer to pee outside than in a toilet. He waters our weeds. Weird!

4. He is finally admitting he is lactose intolerant after 10 years of his mom and I trying to tell him he is. Hard realization to come to for him.

5. He loves to pay bills agressively. I mean, he uses all the money we have and pays everything off and leaves us with nothing. He has improved over the years, but he used to leave me with nothing for groceries. It didn't work to well when times were slow, but our credit score is good.

6. He is happiest with his hair cut high and tight. Even when I say it looks great when it is getting a little longer, he claims that it starts to itch. The next day he goes and gets it all cut off. This haircut is the kind you don't even have to brush. Way different from his high school years! I will post a picture of that look later!

I've been tagged...

6 quirky things about me...

1. I hate to clean! When I do clean, I jump around the whole time, never completing one room before I move on to something else. I know, I'm weird! I've always been this way!

2. I love to shop, but feel guilty if I spend more than $100 on myself. "Myself" includes everything except food. But, when I shop at Costco, it doesn't seem to count. It all becomes food there (I realize this is a wierd justification)!

3. I love to start projects...new and exciting things that are sitting in my head forever. Notice, I said "start..." I have a problem finishing things though. I have about ten projects going right now. That doesn't include work projects. I don't understand it myself. I need to hire a "finisher." I guess this goes right along with #1 I guess the one thing I am great at finishing is books!

4. I hate to call people. I don't know if I'm allergic to phones or what, but calling people makes me nervous. If they want to talk to me, they will call me, right?! I know, that's not how it works. I have gotten better than I was, but it's still a work in progress. The wierd thing is, I really don't mind getting up in front of people and teaching, or talking.

5. I love to travel. In my mind, all the money spent traveling is justified, because you're creating memories. Right? Any excuse to play! I live for the next trip, unfortunately, I don't have one planned.

6. Last for now, but there are more for sure...I love paper and fabrics. I would love to have a room filled with them! I'm obsessed with Amy Butler and I wish I had at least a yard of every fabric she has ever designed! They just make me happy.

Last of the Football Pictures...

I know, you think I'm obsessed with the boys and their football. Well, I am. No doubt about it. I will have to post some dance pictures of Syd sometime soon though. I'm actually posting this because my mom really wanted to see these and I promised her weeks ago. So, here they are ;)
Tyler...number 10 like his dad!

Tanner

When I was scanning the pictures in I noticed what Tanner had done to the back of his picture. I think it is something he will look back on and get a kick out of. He has listed all the players and postions, the coaches, the team and even his favorite play. Too cute! I love these guys!

Lame Camera!

I'm sooo sad! I took some more great pictures on Halloween, and my camera ate them?! They just disappeared. Nyle and I even dressed up! We now have no proof! I've been too depressed about it to post. So frustrating!!!!

Happy Halloween!

This year we had to keep it simple on costumes. So, my kids used what we had. It was the easiest Halloween ever (after the morning rush was over).

Tanner is a BYU football player, of course. He has a helmet too, but we sprayed his hair blue for when he takes it off. That's a must, right?!
Tyler is a hick! Nice mullet, eh?!

This is Trevor, my third boy. Dad thought he needed a black eye.

Isn't this totally believeable? It is really cute in person. Sorry about the lame picture. I will try to get more later at our Halloween party. Have a great Halloweeen!

Grandpa Chambers turns 90!

The whole gang got together for a big celebration on Sunday. Nyle's Grandpa Chambers turned 90! It was so fun to be with everyone...he has a lot of posterity! James Suckow put together a video of all his old photos. It was awesome! So neat to see how life has changed over the last 90 years. What a sweet man with a great life to look back on so far.

Lots of Football pictures

Our good friend, Jim Anderson, came to the football game on Tuesday night and took some great action shots. Some are not the best, but you can really see the action happening.

Tyler and Matthew
Tanner, the quarterback

The parents praying! Nasty shot of me, but oh well. They all are these days!

Our little runner, Cade

Cade again. Tyler in the background.

Tanner...he just released the ball!

Tyler on Defense...your player needs help buddy!

Get him, Tyler!

Tanner

Blurry action shot! Looks like Tanner is getting tackled.

Take a knee coach time!

In the huddle

I think our coaches face looks like this because the refs called another bad call! They really stunk! We lost last nights game just because of their calls, and lack of calls.

Offensive Line

Well, the season is over and our team didn't do the best, but they learned a lot! They had improved dramatically from their first game to their last! It was great fun to watch them, but I really did get nervous for them. I can't imagine how I will be in HS. Many years to come of this fun sport! Hopefully next year they will win some more games!

My favorite girl!

Last night Sydney got a chance to cheer at halftime of the HS football game. She did awesome! It was a really cute dance number that she rocked on. The pictures turned out terrible, but here are a few cute ones.
The one right below is not during halftime...but, the cheerleaders let them cheer with them later too. Syd is the third from the left.

Syd with her friend Sammy. Can you tell that they are looking at the cheerleaders like they are amazing?
Her cheeks said, "We Rock." Nyle asked her, "Who rocks?" She responded with..."Me?" The look on her face was priceless!
This is my favorite girl and her sense of style. She came outside in this outfit and Nyle and I almost died laughing. Luckily, she has a good sense of humor and she didn't cry (we are such great parents)! If you can't tell what she has on, it is my tank top (as a dress) with leggings, a little polka-dot sweater and a shiny belt to match her shiny shoes. The socks just complete the outfit! I am now trying to convince her that she doesn't want to wear this to the boy's football game. We'll see if I'm successful. Wish me luck! No matter what, I love this sweet, freckly faced girl! She does rock!
