Catch up...Last day of School and other festivities!

I haven't posted for awhile, so I thought I would do a catchup. The last day of school here is always a kick. They have a big field day and they bring the fire trucks in and hose them off before they send them on their way for summer. I had to go and take some pictures.

That weekend was also Rodeo weekend. Dan & his family came into town along with Rene and her family. We went to the rodeo on Friday night and had a parade on Saturday morning. Syd was in it with her dance group.

I thought this was way too cute to not take a picture.

After the parade we went out to the lake for the day...it was sooooo fun!
Here is Tanner and Syd with their cousin, Rachael.

Sahalie & Koosah Falls Hike

Last Saturday we took a great hike to see Sahalie and Koosah falls. We've seen Sahalie before because it is a viewpoint right on the side of the highway, but we've never done the waterfall loop. It was beautiful and I took way too many pictures. I just thought I would share. In case you were wondering, we do have a couple of extra kids with us...Maison and Austin. I think everyone had fun!

King of the Forest!

Aren't the colors spectacular!

Dance Recital Pictures

These pictures are from the dance recital I missed when I went to AZ for Beth's surprise shower. Doesn't Syd look cute?

Poets

My boys both had to write a poem this year about themselves. I cried reading them. I just had to share.

I AM FROM….
By Tyler Head

I am from model cars, painted dogs, and blue stripes on my wall.

I came from gas money, chipmunks,
and a pine tree in the backyard.

I am more than motorcycles racing down the road,
swooshes on a net, and shooting at targets.

I am from bats on the ceiling, superheroes on the wall,
and a smart board.

I am made of spaghetti sauce, hot spicy buffalo wings,
and great steak.

I survived my brother giving me weggies, my great grandpa
dying, and not seeing “Tractor Grandpa” very much.

I made it through being a twin, cutting my foot,
and learning how to read.

I have been in Arizona, Hawaii, and sometimes in trouble.

I will be a quarterback for the Eagles, and a dentist.

I AM IRON MAN.

I am from...
by Tanner Head

I am from oatmeal
from back packs and sports items
I am from outside, from the front yard
from the taste of ice cream and the smell of cookies
I am from the grass out front
The big Juniper out back
whose long gone limbs I remember
as if they were my own
I am from opening presents on Christmas Eve and
from Tyler and Sydney
I am from hiking and the trip to the coast on Rhody weekend
and riding in the sand dunes
I am from "eat all your dinner" and "don't say bad things to my sister"
and twinkle twinkle little star
I am from baking cookies on Christmas Eve
I am from Sisters Oregon and Ireland
hamburgers and ice cream
from my brother almost hitting a car
and jumping over ocean waves
pictures hanging on the wall
and photo albums in the office.

Summer is here!

We've been busy around here. I got back from AZ last week (for the surprise shower) and I haven't had time to update. So, here are a few pics.

Memorial Day we spent the day on Billy-Chinook with friends...it was awesome! Sydney even wake-boarded. I was so proud of her for getting out there and doing it!

Tyler jumped off the bridge with all the big kids. He is up there with Michael. Nyle wanted to stay away from the cold water!

Go Tyler!

The weather has been great lately...we just have to get through this last week of school and it's party time!
